Franz Ferdinand’s Latest Track “Audacious” Captivates on TunesDeck

Franz Ferdinand – “Audacious”

Franz Ferdinand, known for their indie-rock sound, announced a new album named The Human Fear, set to release in January, following their 2022 greatest hits collection, Hits To The Head. The first single, “Audacious,” is currently available for listening.

Lead vocalist Alex Kapranos shared insights about the single, stating, “The song addresses the instinct to take bold actions when reality feels uncertain. It’s about looking into the abyss of existence and defiantly proclaiming, ‘Not today, I’ll choose to embrace life!’”

He elaborated on the album’s theme: “Creating this album was incredibly uplifting. However, the title The Human Fear reflects the concept that fear is a vital reminder of our existence. Many of us find a certain thrill in that fear, and our reactions reveal our humanity. These songs delve into the exhilarating aspects of being human through our anxieties, though they might not be apparent at first listen.”

The music video for “Audacious,” directed by Andy Knowles, aims to celebrate the song’s spirit. Knowles commented, “Upon first listening to ‘Audacious,’ I immediately felt it deserved a vibrant video. My goal was to juxtapose the grimmer aspects of life with bursts of joy, viewing it through an audacious perspective, similar to our approach for ‘Curious’ in 2022.”
