Field Music’s Soulful Journey: An Exploration of “The Waitress of St. Louis”

Field Music – “The Waitress Of St Louis’”

Field Music is set to release their upcoming album, Limits Of Language, next month. This follows their 2021 album, Flat White Moon. The English rock band has already shared two tracks, “Six Weeks, Nine Wells” and “The Limits Of Language.” Today, they present their latest single, “The Waitress Of St Louis.”

About this new song, Peter Brewis shared:

‘The Waitress of St. Louis’ pays tribute to a cherished place of comfort, Louis’ cafe in Sunderland. It features synthesized melodies, lively drumming, and sharp guitar lines. The title reflects the cafe’s legacy, founded by my grandfather over a century ago. It became a gathering spot and a beacon of hope for us, providing both community and amazing coffee. While having a place like Louis’ was a blessing, such locations are often fleeting; they vanish, leaving us with just memories and photos, prompting us to search for new venues.

Limits Of Language drops on October 11 through Memphis Industries.
