New Field Music Album: “Six Weeks, Nine Wells”
Brothers David and Peter Brewis have returned as Field Music after their solo projects, unveiling a new album titled Limits Of Language. The lead single “Six Weeks, Nine Wells” is already available following their 2021 album Flat White Moon.
Peter explained their approach to Limits Of Language, stating, “We didn’t want to use the synths just as a nostalgic thumbprint. I hope that the approach was more Eno-esque than that. Exploring the capabilities of the machines.” David added, “I think we’ve always been quite pure in our intentions as artists. We’ve never altered what we do for the sake of making money or chasing what other people like.”
The tracklist for the album is as follows:
- “Six Weeks, Nine Wells”
- “The Guardian Of Sleep”
- “The Limits Of Language”
- “Sounds About Right”
- “Absolutely Negative”
- “Curfew In The Square”
- “Turn The Hours Away”
- “On The Other Side”
- “The Waitress Of St Louis”
- “I Might Have Been Wrong”
- “Between The Bridges”
Limits Of Language is set to be released on 10/11 through Memphis Industries.
