FIDLAR, the LA garage-punk band, emerged from hiatus with their EP That’s Life last year, covering tracks by Limp Bizkit and Jackson Browne. They have now revealed that their self-produced album Surviving The Dream, a follow-up to 2019’s Almost Free, is on the way.
The upcoming album, Surviving The Dream, marks FIDLAR’s return after frontman Zac Carper’s bipolar disorder diagnosis. The new singles, “Get Off My Wave” and “Fix Me,” exude a raw and immediate energy compared to their recent work. Sosie Bacon, known for Smile and the daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, stars in the lip-sync karaoke video for “Fix Me.”
Zac Carper expressed in a press release:
This record is about embracing what you love. For us, it’s performing and creating music. After a hiatus, our goal was to craft an album that resonates with us. We are thrilled about it and what’s to come. These songs are meant to be experienced live with our fans.
