Discover The Alchemist’s Latest Album: The Genuine Articulate

Renowned producer Alchemist has been crafting exceptional beats for around three decades, starting his journey as a young artist in the duo Whooliganz, alongside Scott Caan. Currently, Alchemist continues to excel, producing mesmerizing stoner-rap music for top artists. A notable example is A$AP Rocky and J. Cole’s collaboration, “Ruby Rosary,” which prominently features Alchemist’s signature sound. Recently, he released his latest project, the album titled The Genuine Articulate, following last year’s guest-packed EP Flying High Part Two.

This new album, The Genuine Articulate, takes a relaxed approach typical of Alchemist’s solo work, showcasing some of his deepest beats and collaborations with trusted artists. The lead single, “Ferraris In The Rain,” featuring ScHoolboy Q, sets the stage, but the album offers much more. Action Bronson delivers a vibrant performance on “Minnesota Fats,” joined by Big Body Bes who contributes a rare but engaging verse. Notable appearances by Conway The Machine, Larry June, and Havoc—a longtime collaborator from Mobb Deep—add to the album’s allure, especially given Alchemist’s close relationship with Havoc’s late partner, Prodigy.

The intricate, sample-rich production by Alchemist is captivating, complemented by his guests’ stellar performances. He also showcases his rapping skills throughout the album, reminding listeners of his versatility. A standout moment includes a back-and-forth exchange with Conway, reminiscent of Run-DMC, as well as a lighthearted line where Alchemist refers to himself as “everybody’s favorite uncle.” With a concise runtime of just eight tracks spanning 22 minutes, the album is now available for streaming.

The album, The Genuine Articulate, is self-released and available now.
