Ducks Ltd. Releases New Single “Grim Symmetry”
This year began with Harm’s Way, a strong follow-up to Ducks Ltd.’s debut, Modern Fiction from 2021. In May, they shared “When You’re Outside,” an outtake from Harm’s Way. Now, they are excited to introduce a fresh track titled “Grim Symmetry,” originating from the sessions of Modern Fiction.
Frontman Tom McGreevy shares insights about the song: “We actually created this track quite some time ago. It emerged early in the writing phase for Modern Fiction, and the demo was well-received by those who heard it. However, we couldn’t nail the recording for the album. Yet, we’ve always cherished it, so we revisited it while working on Harm’s Way. Although it didn’t quite blend with that album, we finally shaped it to our liking, making this release particularly exciting.”
Produced by Dave Vettriano, known for his work with Dehd and Lala Lala, “Grim Symmetry” features guest vocals from Julia Steiner of Ratboys and Margaret McCarthy of Moontype, who also lent their voices to “When You’re Outside.” The track exudes a vibrant, energetic feel; check it out below.
