New Release: Tom Petty’s Unreleased Tracks
This year, the estate of the late Tom Petty revealed a special deluxe version of Long After Dark, the Heartbreakers’ album originally released in 1982. Along with the reissue, there’s an additional disc featuring 12 bonus tracks, many of which have never been heard before. This release coincides with the re-release of Cameron Crowe’s 1982 documentary, Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party.
The deluxe edition is now available, offering fans a chance to explore previously unreleased material. Among the bonus tracks, several are French TV renditions of existing songs, along with a few covers and collaborations. Notably, you can find “Ways To Be Wicked,” which was performed by the band Lone Justice, as well as “Never Be You,” sung by Maria McKee in the 1984 film Streets Of Fire. Additionally, there are completely new tracks titled “Don’t Make Me Walk The Line” and “One On One,” along with a cover of the classic “Wild Thing” by The Troggs. You can check out all these tracks below.
The deluxe edition of Long After Dark is now available through Geffen/UMe.
