Discover the Unheard Melodies: Daniel Johnston’s “All Good Children Got To Die” Unveiled in New Artistic Vice Reissue

Hear Daniel Johnston’s Previously Unreleased “All Good Children Got To Die” From New Artistic Vice Reissue

Daniel Johnston, the influential indie artist, first released his studio album Artistic Vice back in 1991 after a decade of recording at home and live performances. This iconic work is set to be reissued, now featuring a bonus record filled with outtakes, rehearsals, and unreleased tracks that were intended for the original album.

Today marks the release of “All Good Children Got To Die,” a previously unheard track that showcases Johnston’s uniquely dark yet whimsical style, with lyrics reflecting on life and death. The reissue comes as a double vinyl, including contributions from his EYE Band members who were part of the Artistic Vice sessions.

Recently, Joaquin Phoenix covered Johnston’s 1984 classic “True Love Will Find You In The End” for the soundtrack of Joker: Folie à Deux. Since Johnston’s passing in 2019, numerous artists, including Built To Spill and Phoebe Bridgers, have honored his legacy through tributes.
