Hear Three Songs From Deadbody & Tribal Gaze’s New Split LP

In recent years, the blend of death metal and hardcore has become a popular area of exploration, with two dynamic bands from this scene joining forces for a new split album. The San Fernando Valley’s Deadbody and Dallas-based Tribal Gaze, both gaining notable momentum, are set to release a split LP this autumn.

Deadbody is a recent endeavor led by Taylor and Colin Young, known for their involvement in bands like Twitching Tongues and God’s Hate. With Deadbody, they delve into the death metal dimension, having released their self-titled debut two years back. Their new split features five tracks, with two having been released—“D.E.A.D.B.O.D.Y.,” a mere seven seconds long, and “Six Shots Saved,” which packs a punch in a one-minute frantic blast.

On the other hand, Tribal Gaze has been carving their path a bit longer. Their debut, Godless Voyage, was released in 2021, followed by The Nine Choirs the following year. I caught their performance as an opener for a Creeping Death/200 Stab Wounds concert before, which was quite enjoyable. They have also released a video for their heavy-hitting track “Twitching On The Cross.” You can listen to all three songs from the upcoming split below, as well as find their tracklist and tour dates.
