David Grubbs, Wendy Eisenberg, & Kramer Release Debut Single As Squanderers

Wendy Eisenberg and David Grubbs, both talented guitarists, have teamed up with producer Kramer, the founder of Shimmy-Disc, to create a new experimental music group called Squanderers. Their first album, If A Body Meet A Body, is set to drop in November. To mark the occasion, they’ve released an introspective lead single titled “Theme For Squanderers.”

A recent press announcement sheds light on the significance of their group name. In Grubbs’s poem “The Voice In The Headphones,” the term “Squanderer” reflects the internal struggles of the unnamed main character: “Hang your head, Squanderer. You’ll never darken the doorway of Studio A.”
