David Gilmour – “Between Two Points” (Feat. Romany Gilmour) (The Montgolfier Brothers Cover)

David Gilmour, from Pink Floyd, is gearing up for the release of his new album “Luck And Strange” following 2015’s “Rattle That Lock”. Along with this, he is preparing for his first tour in eight years. “The Piper’s Call” was the lead single released by Gilmour, and now he has also presented a track that features his daughter Romany.

“Between Two Points” is a rendition of a song originally by the Montgolfier Brothers, a UK indie-pop duo who first introduced it in 1999. In this new version by David Gilmour, his 22-year-old daughter, Romany Gilmour, takes on the lead vocals and plays the harp, extending the track to six minutes with an emotional guitar solo. David expressed in a press release that he has been a fan of the song since its release and decided to include it in his album. He mentioned, “I’ve had that song on my playlist since it was released. More recently, I mentioned it to one or two people. I assumed that it had been a hit, but no one knew it. I asked Romany to give it a go.” Below, you can listen to both the Gilmours’ cover and the original by the Montgolfier Brothers.

The album “Luck And Strange” is set to release on 9/6 through Sony.
