Crack Cloud Unveils “The Medium” on TunesDeck
Crack Cloud, a vibrant band from Calgary, consisting of seven members as per a press release, and nine as shown in the image above, is set to launch their third album titled Red Mile next month. This album marks their debut with the renowned label Jagjaguwar. Earlier, they released the lead single “Blue Kite” and now they present another track “The Medium.”
“The Medium” predominantly embodies an exuberant approach to classic Clash-style punk rock, incorporating a distinctive British accent, culminating in a surprising touch with the introduction of a string quartet towards the end. The lyrics reflect on the essence of punk music – a form of rebellion that can easily transform into a lucrative business. Despite the irony embedded in the song, it exudes a relentlessly cheerful vibe, complemented by an equally lively music video. Zach Choy, a member of the band, co-directed the video with Aidan Pontarini, showcasing the band members joyfully engaging in various activities. The music video is available for viewing below.
Red Mile is scheduled for release on 7/26 through Jagjaguwar.
