Recently, Lunar Vacation launched their new album Everything Matters, Everything’s Fire, and Merce Lemon will follow with her album Watch Me Drive Them Dogs Wild later this month. Today, the Slaps present their latest song, “Compromised Dirt,” featuring vocals from both Lemon and Lunar Vacation’s Maggie Geeslin.
“Compromised Dirt” is part of the Chicago-based indie band’s upcoming album titled Mudglimmer, which has been officially announced. The band shared their vision, stating, “Big Fertilizer, Big Pesticide, Big Gas-Powered Leaf Blower—these elements are damaging not just us, but also the wildlife around us. It’s a consequence of human actions, but in our absence, nature will rejuvenate as if we never existed. This song carries a message of hope.”
The Slaps include guitarist Rand Kelly, bassist Ramsey Bell, and drummer Josh Resing. Explore the new singles below.
