High. has recently unveiled their upcoming EP titled Come Back Down, set to release early next year. Following their lead single “In A Hole,” they have now introduced their powerful new track “Catcher.”
Bassist Bridget Bakie shared, “I brought the foundational chords and bassline to the band. This song holds a personal significance for me. Christian [Castan] then crafted lyrics deep with meaning for him.”
Lead vocalist Casta described “Catcher” as a journey through grief, shadowed by enduring hope for those we’ve lost. The earthy music video was creatively shot by Bakie’s brother, Max, and edited by Victoria Winter of Shower Curtain. Reflecting on her direction of the video, Bakie stated:
I felt compelled to create the music video because of my close understanding of the lyrics, even though they aren’t my own experiences. I used the boat as a symbol of navigating through grief while searching for peace. The expansive lake and seasonal changes also play a role in this narrative. I aimed to portray the mix of sorrow and solace that this song conveys.

Come Back Down will be released on January 25 through Kanine.
