Cash Cobain, a rising rapper and producer known for his distinctive sound, is gaining momentum in the music scene. Having collaborated with J. Cole and Ice Spice recently, Cash is set to release his new album, Play Cash Cobain. The album announcement comes with the release of an eccentric new single, “Problem.”
Laila!, a talented singer-songwriter from Brooklyn and Yasiin Bey’s daughter, previously released the catchy track “Not My Problem.” Teaming up with Cash Cobain for “Problem,” the single serves as an extended remix of her original song featuring a diverse lineup of 15 rappers.
With a runtime of nearly eight minutes, “Problem” showcases a mix of familiar and fresh faces from the rap scene. The track includes artists like Cash Cobain, Fabolous, Big Sean, 6LACK, Flo Milli, and more, each incorporating Laila!’s vocals into their verses seamlessly. The upcoming album, Play Cash Cobain, is scheduled for release on 8/23. While details about the tracklist and additional features remain unknown, the album is set to include 19 tracks, featuring previously-released hits like “Rump Punch,” “Dunk Contest,” and “Fisherrr.”
