Benjamin Booker is back with a new album titled Lower, marking his return after a seven-year hiatus. This soul-rock artist from New Orleans collaborated with producer Kenny Segal (known for work with Armand Hammer and billy woods) for this project. Today, he released the captivating lead single “LWA IN THE TRAILER PARK.”
Regarding the music video for the single, Booker shares, “I drew significant inspiration from Paul Schrader’s films while creating this album. Much like the protagonists in his stories, I aimed to portray a conflicted character striving for something greater. Additionally, I’m working on a series of interconnected videos influenced by Schrader, along with Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le Samourai and Charles Burnett’s Killer Of Sheep.”
