Guitarist Ben Katzman, known for his time with Guerilla Toss, recently competed in season 46 of Survivor and is set to release a new album, titled Tears On The Beach later this month. The album features collaborations with artists such as Mannequin Pussy, Illuminati Hotties, Shannon & The Clams’ Shannon Shaw, among others. The latest single from the album, “Final Vibal,” reunites Katzman with Guerilla Toss.
The inspiration behind much of Tears On The Beach stems from Katzman’s experience on Survivor, particularly evident in “Final Vibal.” Describing the track, Katzman emphasizes:
“Final Vibal” is a tribute to the friends who have stuck by each other through thick and thin. Nine years ago, I was part of Guerilla Toss. The journey from starting in basements to where we are now, as our dreams materialize, is incredible. “Final Vibal” pays homage to Survivor‘s Final Tribal. It combines dance punk with kraut metal guitar riffs, congas, and pure shredding.
“Final Vibal” features energetic elements and fitting chants like: “Vote for who?/ Vote for you!/ Point of view/ Is it true?” You can listen to the track below.
