Anna McClellan returns with a new single titled “Like A Painting,” following a four-year hiatus since her last album. After sharing a rarities compilation and a cover with Lomelda and More Eaze, she brings a fresh sound after moving from Omaha to Los Angeles.
In a press release, McClellan describes “Like A Painting” as a composition of three intertwined songs crafted over a year. The track aims to convey a mix of thoughtful composition and playfulness, reflecting themes of confidence and sensuality. The lyrics portray the complexities of a deteriorating relationship, as seen in lines such as: “I’m raining, gotta take a sec/ Like a painting dries and then it sets.”
