Amyl And The Sniffers Unveils “Big Dreams” on TunesDeck

Amyl And The Sniffers – “Big Dreams”

Cartoon Darkness is just around the corner, and Amyl And The Sniffers have been kind enough to release several sneak peeks. The Melbourne band has already introduced tracks like “U Should Not Be Doing That,” “Chewing Gum,” and the non-album piece “Facts,” and today, they unveil yet another. “Big Dreams” carries an atmospheric quality reminiscent of Morricone, presenting a softer and more melodic style for much of its duration, while still incorporating the band’s signature intensity and culminating in a more robust sound.

Singer Amy Taylor expressed her thoughts on the track and its captivating one-shot music video created by PHC Films:

As I write this before the release of “Big Dreams,” I feel a bit anxious about it as a single since it diverges from the typical expectations people have of us. This song reflects the struggles my friends face financially, illustrating how difficult it can be to pursue aspirations when you’re focused on day-to-day survival. Nonetheless, witnessing my friends excel in what they love reassures me of their vibrant spirits; they’ve never lacked passion, and nothing can dim that light.

This video was filmed in the desert and marked our first shoot for this album, and we had an absolute blast.

Cartoon Darkness is set to be released on 10/25 through B2B Records/Virgin Music Group.
