Blues With a Backbone

I was torn about how many stars to give this disc. I setteled on It's (just) Ok but that was pushing it. At just 16 years old the girl is phenominal on the guitar and I could sit and listen to her all day long. The problem comes when she opens her mouth to "sing". It totally destroys the song! I'm not trying to be mean Michaela but you have a 16 year old's voice. There is no dynamics, no soulfullness to it. It's just a kid's voice. You play the guitar like someone who's 5 and 6 times your age and you will only get better but don't sing. Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robin Trower, etc are all great guitar slingers but they also have awesome front men for the vocals. I enjoyed the great guitar and look forward to much more from you in the years to come but I hope and pray that your voice matures quickly or you find a good lead singer for the group. Awesome guitar though!

That's all I have to say. I love the clean notes of the guitar playing but her voice ruins the tracks on which she sings.

Michaela Knox is the most talented guitarist of her age in...well... History. I cannot wait to see what she will do in the future. Produce some more serious face-melting tracks, that's for sure. Keep it up!

I used to junior dragrace with this crazy talented girl! She is an amazing guitar player, and she can sing!

I find it hard to believe that I used to go to school with this girl. I would have never guessed that she would end up with her own album! Yet, I still didn't expect anything less from this amazing girl! She is a great guitarist, and doesn't have a bad voice either! So cool! Good job Michaela!

This young lady is amazing. We've heard her perform live and in a few years we'll be proud to say "we knew her when..."
