Floor Jansen’s Magnum Opus (to date). Every song on this album is flat out great and will definitely make year’s best lists. Best listened to from start to finish as the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and the “parts” are sensational and delivered by the most beautiful voice I have ever heard which happens to belong to the greatest performer/entertainer I have ever seen!! Check out Floors’s complete catalogue including Floor Jansen/Live In Holland and her bands After Forever, ReVamp, Northward, and of course the world’s greatest band Nightwish!!

Floor’s voice is extraordinarily powerful even when restrained and quieter as in this album - the songs themselves are brief but deeply emotional and personal. Though definitely more of a pop album, I’d say that Floor proves that she can’t be boxed into one genre. It’s a genre all her own that leans on both metal and softer music. It definitely takes a few listens to really hear all of the stylistic nuances of each song, but it’s definitely worth the time.

wait, Floor Jansen, one of the all-time best female voices of symphonic metal... doing a POP album?! can she DO that??? of course she can. because her successes have never been based solely on some flavor-of-the-month glamour face, or any of the latest hot trends. she has always had what any good vocalist SHOULD be known for: killer chops. and Floor is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to that. 3 seconds into track 1, i was hitting the "purchase" button.

All right, I’m a Nightwish fan, now that I’ve got that out-of-the-way. this album is incredible. I downloaded it this morning around 2 AM. Started listening to it when I woke up this morning it is awesome. It’s an album of positive music that just makes you feel better. I would give a perfect five star for every song on this album. I will tell you the song. Hope I’ve had to play multiple times. Five stars +
