No words can adequately describe how poignant and ethereal this Mass setting is to our ears. Frank La Rocca has excelled in creating a liturgical masterpiece that will resonate through the ages. Thank you to Archbishop Cordileone and Maggie Gallegher at the Benedict XVI Institute for advocating for this work which speaks to truth, beauty, and goodness in one piece of art. Bravo.

Although one could watch the Mass of the Americas on YouTube and even listen to the pieces separately I was anxious to hear this quality recording. How amazing that Frank La Rocca was able to bring Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Immaculate Conception together in this Mass setting. Especially the Aue Maria in the Nahuatl language. Having watched the Mass on YouTube I was familiar most of the music but I had not heard the Marian Antiphons other than the Salve Regina. La Rocca has worked strains of La Guadalupana into these seasonal Antiphons. I’m at a loss for words so I’ll just go listen to it again…
