Reviews

  • Probably their best album

The more I listen to this album, the more I love it. This album has a handful of their most iconic and memorable tunes, and it sounds the most “Oingo Boingo” to me. The combination of all the instruments and vocals are amazing, and it’s the perfect recipe for some really good bangers. Just Another Day is an excellent album opener, so full of emotion and it really ropes you in. The title track, Dead Man’s Party, is one of their most upbeat and dance-iest songs, there’s not a single second that doesn’t make me move. Heard Somebody Cry has one of the catchiest choruses I’ve ever heard and the guitar work is insane. No One Lives Forever is easily my favorite from them, the blend of the horn section, vocals, guitar, and piano is so absurdly catchy and it gets better every time you listen to it. Stay is full of emotion and is a perfect laid back tune for studying or just wanting to chill. I do admit that the tracks Fool’s Paradise, Help Me, and Same Man I Was Before are pretty stale, and I tend to skip them when listening to this album. However, they make up for this with the final track, Weird Science, a song that immediately hooks you in and keeps you there with the guitar work and horns. Overall, I give this album a 8.8/10. Definitely worth the buy.

Often overlooked and mostly forgotten before Danny elfman was Mr Danny Elfman This band was mixing genres and bending out tunes that are timeless despite the band being relatively obscure in the modern connotation of music Always there always boingo A mighty marvel must have in my opinion

This is one of those bands that their stuff still holds up after all this time. This album in particular is jam packed with good music. I would suggest to anyone adding it to your library.
