070 Shake, the New Jersey-based singer and rapper, has released a new single titled “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues” ahead of her upcoming album, Petrichor, set to drop next month. This follows her previous album You Can’t Kill Me, as well as the singles “Black Dress” and “Natural Habitat” in collaboration with Ken Carson, showcasing her unique style.
The track “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues” stands out from her usual sound. It evokes a retro vibe reminiscent of a David Lynch scene with its upbeat rock ‘n’ roll twist, paired with a humorless tone that hints at an underlying sense of despair. The accompanying music video, directed by Bennett Watanabe, features striking 1950s aesthetics, including a moment where Shake, portraying a biker, shares a look with a beautiful girl, played by Lily-Rose Depp, known for her role in The Idol and as Johnny Depp’s daughter. You can watch the video below.
The album Petrichor will be available on November 15th through Def Jam.
