At the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival (MVAAFF), it was revealed that she will be recording and performing the theme song for ‘Iyanu,’ an animated superhero series deeply rooted in Nigerian culture and mythology.
The theme song for the series, titled “Iyanu,” is a collaboration between Yemi Alade, the creative minds at Lion Forge Entertainment and Alcon Sleeping Giant, and Femi Agunbiade, the lead composer. Describing the song as a “love message from me to you,” Alade showcases her talent once again in this exclusive preview.
Creator of the series ‘Iyanu,’ Roye Okupe, expressed his excitement about having Yemi Alade on board, highlighting his admiration for her work over the years. The series promises to be an extraordinary journey into a magical kingdom of Yorubaland, following the life of a young orphan with newfound powers.
