Afro Nation is gearing up for an exciting fifth anniversary celebration in 2025, showcasing two prominent figures in African music: Tems and Burna Boy. Scheduled to take place from July 9 to July 11 in Portugal, this festival is set to be a remarkable occasion for the global African music community.

Burna Boy has become a staple at Afro Nation, being part of its journey since the inaugural event in 2019. His return next year is especially anticipated after an incredible year filled with numerous achievements. From captivating audiences worldwide to establishing himself as a significant cultural icon, Burna Boy represents the essence of African artistry on the international scene. His dynamic presence is sure to make his 2025 performance unforgettable.

Tems Joins as Headliner

On the other hand, Tems will be making her debut as a headlining act at Afro Nation Portugal. Emerging from the alté music scene, her swift rise to international fame is a pivotal moment for female artists in Afrobeats. With her recently acclaimed album, Born in the Wild, she is among a wave of artists propelling African music into mainstream popularity, continually expanding the boundaries of genre.

Since its inception, Afro Nation has evolved into more than just a festival; it has become a cultural phenomenon. Starting from its roots on the beaches of Portimão in 2019, it has emerged as a key platform for elevating African artists. Previous headliners have included renowned figures like Wizkid, Davido, and Megan Thee Stallion, who have helped connect African music with a global audience.
