Recently, Moses Sumney made a comeback with his song “Vintage,” which showcased a blend of retro R&B sounds and visuals. This track served as the lead single for his upcoming EP.
The EP, called Sophcore, is set to be released in under a month. Sumney describes the EP as an exploration of the intersections between sensuality and intuition, esotericism and populism, and deep emotions and enjoyment. He aims to create music that resonates with both the hips and the heart by delving into underground rhythms, bass, and drums.
In his latest single, “Gold Coast,” Sumney’s velvety voice harmonizes with a simple pulsating beat and ethereal keyboard chords, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a sauna by the end of the track.
