Soft Kill from Portland recently released Escape Forever, making it to The 50 Best Albums Of The Year So Far. Today, they present their rendition of the Pinkerton Thugs’ “In The Town Where I Was Born,” a song from the punk band’s 1997 album The Pain And The Pinkerton Thugs.
The original version is acoustic and somber, while Soft Kill infuses it with a more lively pace, still maintaining a melancholic undertone but with a touch of poignant momentum. Listen to both renditions below.
