MILLY – New Release “Running The Madness” on TunesDeck

MILLY – “Running The Madness”

Los Angeles-based band MILLY has unveiled a couple of promising singles in anticipation of their upcoming album Your Own Becoming. The tracks “Drip From The Fountain” and “Spilling Ink” have set the stage, and now, “Running The Madness” serves as a compelling final preview before the full album’s release this Friday.

“Running The Madness” delivers a powerful blend of grunge, post-hardcore, and shoegaze, drawing parallels to the early works of Hum and Swervedriver. The song features heavy guitar riffs that seamlessly intertwine with its catchy melodies. Songwriter Brendan Dyer shares his thoughts on the track in a recent press statement:

“This song is meant to evoke a sense of nightmarish chaos,” says Dyer. “I believe the chorus offers a cathartic release, effectively balancing the turmoil depicted in the verses… it speaks to existing in a surreal, madhouse-like setting and the urgent need for escape. We’ve all experienced moments where our thoughts trap us, right? It’s like standing on the brink of an implosion, yet, like all good tales (and songs), it resolves itself positively. It’s a happy conclusion in the end, somewhat glorious.”

If you resonate with the dissociative wall-of-sound atmosphere, “Running The Madness” is sure to captivate you. Be sure to watch the music video below.

Your Own Becoming will be available on 6/28 via Dangerbird.
