Kim Gordon, known for her role in Sonic Youth and her influence on underground music, recently released a solo album titled The Collective. Displaying her unique style, Gordon collaborated with producer Justin Raisen to create a compelling blend of deadpan vocals and intense trap-inspired beats. As Gordon prepares for her European tour, she has unveiled a new single called “ECRP.”
“ECRP,” produced by Justin Raisen, likely originated during the The Collective recording sessions. The track showcases Gordon’s signature nonchalant delivery over bold 808s and gritty guitar riffs, exuding a captivating vibe. Accompanying the song, Gordon’s daughter Coco Gordon Moore directed a music video where she also appears. Watch the video below.
The Collective and “ECRP” are now available on Matador. For more insights, explore our interview with Kim Gordon in We’ve Got A File On You.
