Overview of the Latest Music Release by The Japanese House on TunesDeck

The Japanese House – “:)”

The Japanese House, known for the album “In The End It Always Does,” recently unveiled a new track, “Smiley Face.” This indie-pop creation by Amber Bain follows her previous release, an ABBA cover, and is filled with uplifting vibes.

In expressing the inspiration behind “Smiley Face,” Bain shared, “I wrote this song in the excitement of connecting with someone on a dating app from Detroit. I was so thrilled about the idea of meeting her that the song just poured out of me during a session meant for another project. Surprisingly, my fantasy came true as I bought plane tickets and we are now engaged.”

The production credits of “Smiley Face” go to Chloe Kraemer (known for working with Rina Sawayama and FKA Twigs) and George Daniel from the 1975, who are labelmates and past collaborators of Bain. Matty Healy, from the 1975, lent his vocals to “Sunshine Baby” on the album “In The End It Always Does.” Bain proudly states that “Smiley Face” is her favorite creation to date.
