Terry G, also known as Gabriel Oche Amanyi, has drawn a parallel between Wizkid and Jay-Z on the Afrobeats podcast. He asserts that Wizkid is like the Nigerian version of Jay-Z, a prominent American hip-hop icon and entrepreneur renowned for his significant impact on hip-hop culture.
“Wizkid is the Jay-Z of our generation. He’s the trailblazer of the new wave of Nigerian musicians, and that recognition is warranted. One of Wizkid’s admirable traits is his demeanor, which has served as an inspiration to many,” he emphasized.
The ‘Akpako Master’ fondly recounted a time when Wizkid visited his residence in 2016 for a collaborative recording session.
“In 2016, Wizkid visited my home in Ishaga for a recording session. I was thrilled by his presence, and we worked on producing four songs together. Blessings to Wizkid,” Terry G shared.
