Beach Bunny, the beloved indie rock band from Chicago, has finally returned. After the success of their 2022 album “Emotional Creature,” which landed them a cover story on Stereogum, the band has released a new track titled “Vertigo.” Described as a “self-sabotage bop,” the song is now available through AWAL.
Lili Trifilio, the band’s lead vocalist, shared, “People often ask for sad girl anthems from me, but I’m currently on a journey of self-awareness. Hence, ‘Vertigo’ is a catchy tune about self-sabotage, jealousy, and feeling lost. I came up with this song while on an airplane and tried to record a demo in the noisy bathroom to remember the melody during the 4-hour flight.”
“Vertigo” captures the energetic vibe of 2000s pop punk, reminiscent of bands like Paramore and early Panic! At The Disco. Listen to it below.
