Higher Power, a well-known hardcore band from Leeds with a unique sound reminiscent of Perry Farrell fronting the Smashing Pumpkins, faced the challenge of releasing their acclaimed album 27 Miles Underwater just before the onset of the pandemic in 2020. They recently dropped the single “Absolute Bloom,” marking their return after a hiatus. Now, they present a new track featuring guest vocals from fellow hardcore group Never Ending Game.
Never Ending Game, a prominent hardcore ensemble from Detroit, delivers intense vocals that contrast with the style of Perry Farrell from the Smashing Pumpkins. Their collaboration on Higher Power’s latest single “Stillpoint” showcases a dynamic blend of heavy beats and captivating guitar riffs. The juxtaposition of Jimmy Wizard’s high-pitched vocals with Mikey Petroski’s gritty delivery adds depth to the track. Listen to it below.
“Stillpoint” is currently available on Nuclear Blast.
