Review of Chubby And The Gang’s New Single “The Bonnie Banks”

Chubby And The Gang – “The Bonnie Banks”

Chubby And The Gang, the renowned London punk group, has undergone a transformation. The band’s frontman, Chubby Charles (Charlie Manning Walker), is now leading the project solo, with a rotating lineup of musicians. Known for his work with The Chisel, Manning has also embarked on this new venture with Flatspot Records. Their latest single, “The Bonnie Banks,” retains the band’s signature style — a blend of old-school rock ‘n’ roll with influences from bands like Cock Sparrer and Thin Lizzy.

The track, a tribute to London, captures the essence of the city with its heartfelt lyrics and energetic melody. Directed by Nick Suchak, the accompanying music video complements the song’s vibe perfectly.

“The Bonnie Banks” is now available on Flatspot Records, and Chubby And The Gang are set to perform at the London Flatspot World showcase on 6/15 and Leipzig, Germany’s Back To The Future fest on 7/27.
