The enthusiastic Nashville rock band Snõõper, known for their debut album Super Snõõper, has joined forces with the Barcelona group Prison Affair to release an energetic split EP. This collaboration follows a series of individual releases by Snõõper, including “for yr love” and their cover of Devo’s “I Think I’m Falling In Luv Again.”
Prison Affair, recognized for their unique style and quirky cover art, shares a similar ‘weird’ approach to DIY punk music as Snõõper. Both bands showcase fast-paced tracks, playful new-wave melodies, experimental keyboard elements, and lo-fi recordings featuring tape hiss.
The split EP features three songs from each band, with Snõõper kicking it off with their high-energy track “Company Car.” The overall experience of the EP is a whirlwind of quick, dizzying, and thrilling tracks that captivate the listener. You can listen to the split below.
The Snõõper/Prison Affair split EP is currently available via Under The Gun/Sorry State/Big Love.
