Good Looks has just dropped two new songs, “Damage Control” and “Chase Your Demons Out,” which continue the indie rock vibe from their latest album, Lived Here For A While, released in June. These tracks are being presented as a double A-side single.
Tyler Jordan shared some insights about “Damage Control,” stating:
This song was written in two phases—the first during a difficult time in a relationship, and the second after it ended. I drew inspiration from Big Star, and you can hear their influence in the chords. While it may not be a typical breakup song, it captures a feeling and moment.
On the other hand, “Chase Your Demons Out” reflects on how the members of Good Looks are older than many debut artists. Jordan mentions, “Being in our thirties gave us a unique advantage as we prepared for what lies ahead.” The song embodies the feeling of readiness for a future they’ve long been striving for.
