There’s a good chance that the Norwegian indie-pop group Onsloow will gain enough popularity soon, so that searching for their name won’t lead to confusion with “Onslow.” The latter term often refers to a county in North Carolina and isn’t widely recognized. It’s high time Onsloow gets the recognition they deserve, especially with their recently released track.
In just a few days, the band will unveil their upcoming album Full Speed Anywhere Else. We’ve already featured their impressive singles, “Taxi” and “Brakes.” Now, they have revealed a sparkling new song titled “Body Parts,” which brings to mind the sound of the band Alvvays—who are currently searchable without mix-ups! Regarding “Body Parts,” drummer Morten Samdal shared the following thoughts:
We aimed to express the journey of reconnecting with oneself, both physically and emotionally, after enduring experiences that can fracture your identity. It’s fundamentally about healing! The album Full Speed Anywhere Else largely explores themes of breakup and rediscovery from various viewpoints, alongside reflecting on the deeper costs of friendships. While many tracks discuss love, “Body Parts” is particularly centered on that theme!
Give it a listen below.
Full Speed Anywhere Else will be released on October 25 by Tiny Engines.
