New Release from Momma: “Ohio All The Time”
Momma, the Brooklyn-based indie band, has recently unveiled a new single titled “Ohio All The Time” after more than two years since their previous album, Household Name. In that time, they have also released the playful track “Bang Bang” and collaborated on a covers split with Narrow Head.
The inspiration for “Ohio All The Time” stems from a transformative summer during their tour. The band explained that they aimed to convey a sense of youthful exuberance in the accompanying video, which they filmed at a friend’s house in upstate New York. Their day was filled with fun and playful moments, reflecting how vibrant and fresh life felt at that time.
With a lively and grungy sound characteristic of Momma, the song speaks to themes of exploration and recklessness: “Never been bad but I’ll try/ I’m putting up a fight/ I’m fucking up my life/ I’m running to you, right?” The music video, directed by Zack Shorrosh, captures the spirit of the song as the group enjoys music, drinks, and camaraderie in a picturesque field. You can listen to “Ohio All The Time,” now available through Polyvinyl Record Co./Lucky Number Music.
