David Pajo and His Musical Journey
David Pajo, known for his work with Slint, continues to be a prominent figure in indie rock, often stepping in as a guitarist for other artists. Notably, Pajo will be taking the stage for Gang Of Four’s farewell tour in North America, honoring the late Andy Gill. However, he also actively creates music under his solo project, Papa M.
This year, Pajo collaborated with Mike Watt on a split 7″, and soon, he will present his new album, Ballads Of Harry Houdini, marking his first release under the Papa M name in six years. The first single, “Ode To Mark White,” has already been unveiled, and now fans can enjoy the latest track, “People’s Free Food Program.” This song features a lively instrumental style, showcasing Pajo’s unique guitar skills and spans nearly six minutes.
The album Ballads Of Harry Houdini will be available on November 22 through Drag City.
