This year, Dazy collaborated with Bodysync on the intriguing track “Back Of My Mind.” Now, James Goodson has announced a new EP titled IT’S ONLY A SECRET (If You Repeat It), set to be released next Friday. The lead track, “It’s Only A Secret,” featuring the experimental duo MSPAINT, is available now.
The partnership between Dazy and MSPAINT is expected to be delightful. Both have recently toured together and received accolades as Bands To Watch from Stereogum. Goodson shared his thoughts on the EP:
I’ve always been open about my influences. A big part of songwriting for me is experimenting mentally: “What if you fused Beck with Blur? Or mixed the Chemical Brothers with Bob Mould?” I’m also getting more comfortable with my own voice and songwriting quirks, allowing them to guide my work.
