Porridge Radio Unveils “God Of Everything Else” – A Sonic Journey on TunesDeck

Porridge Radio – “God Of Everything Else”

This Friday, Porridge Radio will release their new album, Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me, which follows their acclaimed 2022 album, Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder To The Sky. The latest singles “Sick Of The Blues” and “A Hole In The Ground” suggest this new album will be equally stunning and impactful. Today, the band introduces the intense track “God Of Everything Else.”

Lead singer Dana Margolin shared her feelings about the song, reflecting on a difficult relationship:

I felt reduced to nothing, like I was unworthy and devoid of any strength I previously had. I told myself lies to reclaim my power. You caused this pain, but I’m the master of my own experience. This is a song about perpetual disconnection and heartbreak, about aimlessly wandering without purpose, constantly evading confronting my own emptiness, searching for identity in others, feeling lost about my next moves. It also touches on femininity, reflecting on how challenging it can be to embody it, especially when observing someone who seems to navigate it so effortlessly.

“God Of Everything Else” delivers a heartfelt and intense experience, featuring beautiful violin melodies and poignant lyrics, including lines like, “It was a sick, sick, sickness loving you/ I wake up choking on dreams of you/ I wake up crying from loving you.” You can listen to it below.

The album Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me is set to be released on October 18th through Secretly Canadian.
