Recently, the Slaps unveiled their upcoming album Mudglimmer, along with the title song and a collaboration titled “Compromised Dirt” featuring Merce Lemon and Maggie Geeslin from Lunar Vacation. Now, they’ve released an exciting new track called “Fool.”
The band described the song as exploring the theme of “the flattening of innocence versus ignorance.” They referenced a Howard Finster quote: “Worst kind of a fool is a fool who don’t know he is a fool when he is fooled,” which inspired the opening line.
This dynamic and expansive track was demoed in collaboration with Dexter Webb, the guitarist from Indigo De Souza. Check it out below.
