Two years back, the hardcore punk group Punitive Damage, fronted by ex-Regional Justice Center member Jerkova, launched their debut album, This Is The Blackout. This initial effort, while brief at just 18 minutes, made a strong impact. They are set to release a new EP titled Hate Training later this month, collaborating with producer Jesse Gander, known for his work with Japandroids.
Previously, we highlighted the track “Baptism Of Fire,” and now they’ve unveiled the title track. Clocking in at 96 seconds, it delivers an explosive burst of energy, featuring a midtempo groove that feels like the fall of empires. This band is incredible. Give “Hate Training” a listen below.
The Hate Training EP releases on October 25th through Convulse.
