Coldplay Unveils New Collaborations with Matty Healy and Jon Hopkins in Deluxe Edition of Moon Music

Coldplay Share Matty Healy & Jon Hopkins Collabs From Deluxe Moon Music

The latest album from Coldplay, titled Moon Music, was released on Friday. While the single “feelslikeimfallinginlove” stands out, the album itself doesn’t leave a strong impression compared to their earlier works. Nonetheless, it features some notable collaborators.

Among the co-writers on Moon Music are Chris Martin’s children, Apple and Moses. Jon Hopkins contributed to several tracks as a writer and producer. Additionally, John Metcalfe of the Durutti Column provided string arrangements, and Tim Rutili from Califone co-wrote “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” alongside contributions from Hopkins, Apple Martin, and Max Martin. It’s quite an eclectic mix.

Today also marks the release of the deluxe edition titled Moon Music: Full Moon Edition, which features even more notable names. Jon Hopkins appears with Jacob Collier and Livvi Franc on the track “A Wave” (marked by a hand-waving emoji in the tracklist) and is involved in “Angelsong,” which showcases a sound reminiscent of Sigur Rós. A particularly interesting collaboration is with Matty Healy from The 1975, who added production and piano work to the track “The Karate Kid,” reflecting his admiration for Chris Martin.

Be sure to listen to these highlighted tracks and explore the entire album below.
