You might be curious about Justin Hawkins from The Darkness and his thoughts on this situation. Robert Smith, the frontman of The Cure, has not shown much affection for The Darkness. In a Rolling Stone interview back in 2004, Smith expressed disdain for the band, stating, “I never liked Queen… I can honestly say I hated Queen and everything that they did… So, no, I don’t like the Darkness at all. I think they’re a comedy band.”

Recently, Justin Hawkins shared on TikTok that he took Smith’s comments to heart and admitted he “may have indeed heckled [Smith] once,” but he regards Smith as one of his favorite vocalists. Hawkins complimented Smith’s performance on “Alone,” noting, “He’s not just emoting, he’s properly singing.”
