Emile Mosseri’s song “Wasting Your Love,” released in June, is part of his forthcoming album titled Trying To Be Born, set to launch on February 21. Alongside this announcement, the new single “Don’t Fall Back So Easily” has just been made available.
“I initially crafted ‘Don’t Fall Back So Easily’ as a simple piano melody,” Mosseri shared with Atwood Magazine. He explained how Bobby Krlic inspired him to change the pace, providing a more layered sound with his band, which revitalized the piece for him. This process sparked the idea for a live-tape album that steps away from piano-centric and cinematic music.
The album features musicians such as Meg Duffy from Hand Habits, Dougie Stu, and Kosta Galanopolous. Recording took place at Altamira Sound in the autumn of 2023, in collaboration with Bobby Krlic, who frequently works with Mosseri. Check out “Don’t Fall Back So Easily” below.
The album Trying To Be Born will be released on February 21, 2025, under Greedy Heart Records.
