St. Vincent Unveils Enchanting Spanish Edition of Her Latest Album: Experience “Hombre Roto” Now!

St. Vincent Announces Spanish Version Of Her Recent Album: Hear “Hombre Roto”

Recently, St. Vincent unveiled her dynamic new album All Born Screaming. Following this, Annie Clark has shared plans to re-record the entire album in Spanish. This choice stems from the positive feedback she has received during her performances for Spanish-speaking audiences. Clark collaborated with her friend Alan Del Rio Ortiz to translate the lyrics, resulting in the new album titled Todos Nacen Gritando, featuring the lead single “Hombre Roto,” which means “Broken Man” in Spanish but maintains the Spanish vocals. Here’s how Clark describes the project:

The idea for Todos Nacen Gritando began in some of the most impactful performances I’ve had in Mexico, South America, and Primavera Barcelona 2023. Despite differences in location and time, each audience shared an incredible enthusiasm, singing along perfectly in English. That was incredibly motivating. I began to wonder: If they can sing in a second or third language, why can’t I reciprocate? So, I invited my close friend and collaborator Alan Del Rio Ortiz to help me translate the lyrics, making adjustments for melody while ensuring the essence remained intact. After extensive rewriting and recording new vocal tracks, the outcome is Todos Nacen Gritando—a heartfelt effort inspired by those who have encouraged me.
