Katrina Ford: A Dynamic Artist with a New Album
Katrina Ford, a talented musician from Baltimore, is known for her powerful voice and diverse background in music. She has fronted several bands, including Celebration, Mt. Royal, and Love Life, and has worked alongside notable acts like TV On The Radio and Future Islands. Surprisingly, she contributes backing vocals to the track “Wolf Like Me,” a fact that deserves more recognition. Recently, she released a single titled “Dundalk Dungeon” and announced her forthcoming album titled H.E.A.R.T., along with another new track.
The album’s title, H.E.A.R.T., appears to stand for “Heart Ember Abuse Resin Trend,” a creative interpretation that may raise some eyebrows. Ford collaborated with producer Tony Doogan, known for his work with Mogwai and Belle And Sebastian, to create this album. The latest single, “Cry Wolf,” is an epic synthpop anthem. While comparisons to Kate Bush are unavoidable, they certainly resonate. Be sure to listen to “Cry Wolf” and check out the complete tracklist for H.E.A.R.T. below.
