Thirdface Unveils Sonic Journey with “Meander” on TunesDeck

Thirdface – “Meander”

Thirdface Announces New Album

In 2021, Nashville’s intense hardcore band Thirdface debuted with their aggressive album Do It With A Smile. Recently, their track “Trap Revealed” featured on the curated screamo compilation Balladeers, Redefined. The band is now set to release their sophomore album, Ministerial Cafeteria, later this fall.

Album Development Journey

The tracks for Ministerial Cafeteria were primarily composed around the time of their debut’s release. Due to the pandemic, the band attempted remote recording, but were dissatisfied with the outcome. They chose to refine their music through live performances before re-recording it. Drummer Shibby Poole, who handled the recording and mixing for their first album, returned to do the same for this one. Notably, “Trap Revealed” and a newly shared song “Meander” are both included in this album.

About the New Track “Meander”

Interestingly, “Meander” is anything but wandering. This new song is a chaotic, fast-paced burst of energy under two minutes, leaving listeners exhilarated. According to Kathryn Edwards, the band’s leading voice, the lyrics mark a shift from the overarching anger of their debut album to a deeper look at mental health and social skepticism, which are two prominent themes in the new work.
